If spectres haunt the spaces we inhabit, then the past is still present and tangible; Layers upon layers of history are forced into co-existence, each with their own specific claim upon the land.

The Island’s map keeps changing, its edges keep shifting but its previous occupants wander the landscape long after all physical traces of them are erased.

Made during my lone explorations of South Korea, The Island, reflects on the marks we leave on the world once we are gone, as well as the unmarked spaces that are no longer visible on our maps.
